After giving a few leads to Jeremy on bands to include, Martin offered up his Wordpress expertise and began to develop the fledgling MKEpunk website. Having been involved with punk/hardcore scene in Milwaukee and Racine as a graphic designer... he brings his unique perspective to the site. His old punk band, Bound to One, recently reissued a complete discography on Beer City Records – but you can download some early demos and b-sides from MKEpunk. Martin currently works at an advertising agency as a web developer and lives in Bay View.

Our Mission

Milwaukee has a rich music history. MKEpunk wishes to offer defunct Milwaukee-area bands a way to share their out-of-print music, on their own terms. We believe that by creating a “sharing economy” – and licensing this music through the Creative Commons, we can document local music history one band at a time – while keeping the musician’s copyright intact.
